By now you have probably heard that your internet provider will soon have a brand new router, the Spectrum Router.
This is going to be a great router.
For starters, you can now connect your internet to your home network without having to pay a monthly cable bill.
It’s also a lot more compact.
It only has 8 gigabytes of storage, which means you don’t have to pay for a separate router for each device.
It also comes with an Ethernet port, USB ports, HDMI port, a SD card slot, and it comes with a 5G router (no 4G yet).
It also includes an Ethernet cable.
There’s an Ethernet interface for a standard modem, but I found that it didn’t work very well with the Broadcom BCM2837.
In fact, it wasn’t even good enough to connect to my router.
I couldn’t get the modem to work, either.
But I can connect to the router directly from my laptop.
I’ll show you how.
Connect your modem to the Spectrum router and wait.
Plug your Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port on the Spectrum.
You’ll need the 5G adapter (no wifi yet).
Connect the modem, the Ethernet adapter, and the SD card reader to your PC using a USB port.
Click on the Wireless Settings icon in the upper right corner of the Spectrum and select the Wireless Network.
Enter your network name and password, then click on Save.
Your modem should start up.
Click the Wireless settings icon in your top right corner, and select Wireless Network from the drop-down menu.
Your network should show up in the Wireless Options.
Click Change IP address.
Choose your network and click OK.
The Wireless Network should load.

The next screen should look similar to this:The modem should now appear.
You should now be able to use the internet from the Spectrum home network.
If you’re connected to your ISP’s home network, you should be able use the same network, too.
The modem should connect to your Ethernet port.
This will be the home network’s IP address, not your ISP address.
It won’t work if your ISP has a different IP address for your home.
You can change the IP address of your home router using the Internet Router Setting.
Click Save to close the router.
Plug the Ethernet cable back into the ethernet port on your router.
You can do this by holding down the Option key and pressing the Enter key while holding down Option and pressing Enter.
If your router supports a standard Ethernet port like the BCM2706, the modem should show a red LED, and your network will start.
Now click the Wireless icon in that same drop-out menu.
Click Wireless Network on the right side of the screen.
Enter the name and IP address from the modem’s address bar and click Save.
Congratulations, you now have a fully functional internet connection!
But if you have a slower internet connection, you’ll need to use a router to connect it.
The Broadcom Broadcom-N router is a good option.
It has a faster Ethernet interface, and if your modem isn’t working well, it will connect automatically.
If you have trouble connecting to your internet, you might also need to change your router’s wireless settings.
Your router’s firmware should let you change your wireless settings, and you should check the settings for your router every now and then.
This may fix the problem.
I’ve tried both the Broadcomm and the BroadCom BCM2902 routers, and both work.
I don’t know why Broadcom and Broadcom didn’t offer a similar product.
Maybe they just didn’t want to charge too much for a single router.
