The Hill — Travel agents say the online gig market is a great opportunity for young professionals looking to connect with colleagues.
But they also warn against joining gig brokers.
The Hill asked the travel agents of The Hill’s sister publication, the San Francisco Chronicle, to offer advice on how to find a gig in the gig market.
In a story published Thursday, the newspaper reported that the top 10 gig brokers are charging as much as $200 per gig and offer gig-related services, including “free rides to and from gigs and a free lunch.”
