Verizon’s router login is the default login option on the Verizon smartphone, which can be disabled by going to Settings > Network > Network and in the dropdown menu, click Reset router.
Verizon has also been adding a new feature for some users called the Verizon Wireless Gateway, which is similar to the router login but instead requires you to log in using the Verizon password.
This login feature will be available for a limited time, starting today.
When you log in to your Verizon Wireless account, the new login screen looks like this:Verizon router password resetWhen you click Reset, the Verizon website asks for your password.
When you click the Reset button, the screen changes to show the Verizon login.
If you don’t use the Verizon router password, the login screen goes blank.
When the Verizon site asks you to enter your Verizon router username and password, your username is entered, followed by a check box to confirm your password has been successfully reset.
If the Verizon username and/or password is not the same as your Verizon username or password, you’ll be asked to confirm the reset.
You’ll see the new Verizon login screen again if you click Restore from backup.
If you log into your Verizon account after a successful reset, you won’t be prompted to reenter your username and passwords.
Verizon has also changed the way it shows your network information, which will be different when the Verizon Gateway feature is enabled.
When your Verizon Gateway account is enabled, you can now see the IP addresses that Verizon uses to locate you.
When the Verizon gateway feature is disabled, you will see only the device name, the name of the router, and the name and IP address of the Verizon wireless network.
Verify your router password before you log out.
Verified router loginVerizon routers can be reset with a single click.
You can also manually reset the router by logging into the Verizon web portal, visiting your device’s settings page, and changing the network password.
You may need to log into the device’s Settings page and go to Network and Security > Security Settings.
Verizion has also made a change to how the Verizon mobile web portal displays its network information.
The Verizon portal will no longer display a network name and the IP address that Verizon has assigned to your device, instead showing the device itself as shown in the image below.
You can also access the Verizon portal directly by going into your device settings page and selecting Settings > Device Information.
Verification will now also require you to click on a verification link in the lower right corner of the web portal.
The verification link will prompt you to verify your router login by entering the correct username and account password.
Verity’s router logins will be updated as Verizon adds more devices and features.
If Verizon’s router password and username have changed, you may be prompted for the reset password.
If your Verizon password and/o your Verizon login password, there is no reset button.
You’ll need to enter the correct Verizon password again.
If Verizon’s Router Password has changed, there are no reset options.
